Reminder on correct activation
Glider Sectors
- Activate the sectors in the morning up to a realistic altitude (depending on the cloud base). There is nothing to prevent you from requesting a higher level in the afternoon if the weather conditions improve and many gliders will potentially be flying above 5000'.
- In the event of one or two isolated gliders taking off prematurely in the morning, only activate the south sector up to 5000' to allow them to take off and look for the first lift. If they are flying higher, they can then request clearance from ATC.How to enter a thermal
